Farmer's Wife Quilt Week 24: Quiltl blocks 36 Flower Garden Path and 37 Flower Pot

As I worked on Block 36 – Flower Garden Path and Block 37 – Flower Pot , I couldn't help but imagine a peaceful cottage garden in full bloom. And seriously I am in a period of my life where I am living in a small house with a garden, which I am considering cultivating... Even though these are traditional patchwork blocks made entirely from geometric shapes, their names invite me to see flowers, winding paths, and the beauty of a well-loved garden. Block 36: Flower Garden Path Flower Garden Path has a lovely sense of movement. For this block, I focused on choosing fabrics with enough contrast to make the design stand out while still keeping the colours harmonious with the rest of the sampler. I've learned that traditional quilt blocks often rely strongly on value than colour. Two fabrics can both be green, but if one is significantly lighter than the other, the block suddenly comes to life. Block 37: Flower Pot Flower Pot couldn't have a more fitting name.
