Mini quilts

Experimenting with fabrics, shapes, and small quilting ideas often leads to the most unexpected results. And somehow, inspiration always seems to come more naturally when creating handmade gifts for friends.

These small projects were made as special gifts, combining quilting, appliqué, and playful fabric combinations into decorative mini quilts and wall hangings.

One of my favorite things about making gifts by hand is that every piece becomes completely unique. Even simple designs can feel personal and meaningful when created with someone specific in mind.

For these projects, I played with house motifs, birds, embroidery details, and cheerful modern fabrics, creating little quilted artworks full of color and texture.

House-Birdie Mini Quilt

The “House-Birdie” quilt was especially fun to make, with its playful combination of appliqué and quilting details. I love how whimsical and cozy these tiny fabric houses always feel.

Wall Quilt for Hara

Another small wall quilt was created as a gift for my friend Hara. Handmade quilts and textile decorations always feel warmer and more personal than store-bought gifts, especially when every fabric has been chosen carefully.

Sometimes the smallest sewing experiments become the projects we remember the most.
