Wednesday WIP: Paper piecing

Another busy week has passed, although unfortunately not a very productive one when it comes to quilting or sewing.

Lately most of my creative projects seem to be progressing very slowly.

Between everyday responsibilities and work, it feels harder and harder to find uninterrupted sewing time.

Still, even slow progress is still progress.

Nothing was actually finished this week, but several projects are currently taking over my sewing space.

Currently in Progress

Dwarf Quilt

This quilt started shortly after the quilting lessons I began attending around Christmas, and honestly, it completely changed the way I feel about paper piecing.

I am absolutely in love with Foundation Paper Piecing now.

It’s addictive, portable, relaxing, and incredibly satisfying once the tiny pieces finally come together correctly.

One of the best things about paper piecing is that I can easily carry small sections with me and work on them almost anywhere.

The only downside? It progresses painfully slowly.

Still, I adore the precision and the final result enough to keep going.

Peek Quilt

I also started a brand new quilt project using this beautiful and very beginner-friendly pattern.

This quilt has been much faster and easier to piece together compared to the paper piecing projects, which honestly feels refreshing right now.

Hopefully I’ll manage to finish this one by the end of the week.
