WIP Wednesday: Peek quilt

This week has been filled with fabric, quilting, labels, and lots of excitement.

One of the happiest moments this month was finally receiving my brand new embroidered labels.

Seeing something designed with your own logo and aesthetic arrive for the very first time is such a satisfying feeling.

They turned out exactly as I imagined them.

I ordered them from World Wide Label, and they were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process while I was deciding on the type, size, colors, and style of the labels.

I absolutely recommend them if you are looking for custom woven or embroidered labels for handmade projects.

The larger Zarkadia labels are meant for my quilts, while the smaller Z labels will be used for pouches and smaller handmade products.

There is something very special about adding a personal label to a handmade quilt. It makes every project feel complete and truly unique.

At the same time, our family recently welcomed a beautiful new addition.

My niece Anna was born about a month ago, and naturally I immediately started planning a quilt for her.

For this baby quilt I chose some of my absolute favorite fabrics from Sarah Jane’s “Children at Play” collection.

The fabrics are playful, soft, colorful, and absolutely perfect for a baby quilt.

The quilt pattern itself comes from one of my favorite quilting books, Fresh From the Clothesline by Darlene Zimmerman.

I spent almost the entire weekend sewing and piecing the quilt top together, and I am so happy to finally see it completed.

Now it is time to move on to the backing fabric and quilting stage.

I also managed to enrich my Etsy Shop with a few new handmade tobacco pouches, so overall I feel extremely happy with this weekend’s productivity.
