A very long absense Pt2

Returning to Thessaloniki was a bit difficult at first because we didn’t yet have our own home, so we stayed for a while with my parents. Luckily, I have an uncle on the island of Thassos in northern Greece, so we decided to extend our vacation a little longer.

We had an amazing time there, met wonderful people, and finally managed to rest. I even finished a huge embroidery project that I had started back in August (I’ll post about it later), and I somehow managed to read three whole books!

Robby was really upset after leaving his home, and at first he had a few seizures. (I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but he is epileptic.) Thankfully, life on the island seemed to calm him down. He spent his days swimming, exploring, and making new friends.

We also visited the beautiful farm of a very dear friend and came back loaded with goodies: fresh white cheese, eggs, vegetables, and other homemade treats. You can read more about the farm here.

At the end of September we returned to Thessaloniki to begin searching for a place to live. After a small adventure, by the beginning of November we finally had a home of our own.

Soon I’ll share photos of our new place — it’s truly gorgeous. And the best part? I finally have my own sewing room! I’m still setting everything up, but I can already imagine all the quilts and accessories that will be created there.

My shop is finally up and running again, and soon it will be filled with many new handmade goodies.

See you soon!
