New personalised pillow covers

These past few days I finished two new custom orders: two personalised pillow covers made as christening gifts for a baby boy and a baby girl.

Choosing the fabrics was actually the easiest part, since I got to work with two of my all-time favorite fabric collections.

The first pillow was made using fabrics from a lovely collection by Pam Kitty Morning, while the second one featured prints from the beautiful Children at Play collection by Sarah Jane.

For the appliqué, I decided to use the buttonhole stitch instead of my usual stretch zig-zag stitch, and honestly, the result was so much cleaner and prettier.

Each pillow closes with a matching zipper at the back for easy removal, and the insert is a standard 60 × 40 cm IKEA pillow.

And of course… striped binding makes everything look better. It really helped the whole design pop!
