Star count
Our local quilting bee challenged everyone to make at least one block of 1-inch hexagons… and somehow I got so addicted that I ended up making seven!
So far we have gathered around 21 blocks altogether, and hopefully by the end of June an entire quilt will be finished.
There is something dangerously addictive about English paper piecing. Once you start making hexagons, it becomes almost impossible to stop.
At the moment we are also preparing for a quilt exhibition taking place on the 20th and 21st of June, so there are many projects and details that need to be finished before then.
I will try to post more information about the exhibition later this week.
Meanwhile, I am already preparing my next English paper piecing project using the Rose Star Template .
I have a feeling this will become my perfect summer beach project.
Linking up to Jessica Alexandrakis and the Monday Morning Star Count to see what everyone else is working on in the world of English paper piecing.
