Greek Cross quilt block
The Greek Cross quilt block has to be one of the best blocks to learn quilting. It really doesn’t get much easier — just half square triangles and a bit of strip piecing.
Making a scrappy Greek Cross quilt could be a fun challenge. I might try it myself!
Cutting Instructions for the Greek Cross quilt block
Always remember FINISHED SIZE means the size it will be in a completed quilt. The measurements already include the ¼ inch seam allowance.
*SQ = Square/Squares
| Finished Size | 2 SQ (Dark & Light) | Strip (Dark & Light) | 1 SQ (Dark) |
| 6 inches | 2-7/8 inches | 1.5 x 10.5 inches | 2.5 inches |
| 9 inches | 3-7/8 inches | 2 x 15 inches | 3.5 inches |
| 12 inches | 4-7/8 inches | 2.5 x 20 inches | 4.5 inches |
