Greek Cross quilt block

 

The Greek Cross quilt block has to be one of the best blocks to learn quilting. It really doesn’t get much easier — just half square triangles and a bit of strip piecing.

Making a scrappy Greek Cross quilt could be a fun challenge. I might try it myself!

Cutting Instructions for the Greek Cross quilt block

Always remember FINISHED SIZE means the size it will be in a completed quilt. The measurements already include the ¼ inch seam allowance.

Finished Size 2 SQ (Dark & Light) Strip (Dark & Light) 1 SQ (Dark)
6 inches 2-7/8 inches 1.5 x 10.5 inches 2.5 inches
9 inches 3-7/8 inches 2 x 15 inches 3.5 inches
12 inches 4-7/8 inches 2.5 x 20 inches 4.5 inches
