Farmer’s Wife Quilt Along Week 2: Basket Weave and Evening Star blocks
Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was definitely productive, with lots of new and ongoing projects in progress.
For this week’s Farmer’s Wife Quilt Along, I worked on two beautiful blocks using foundation paper piecing, Lecien fabrics, and one Riley Blake print.
This Week’s Blocks
- No. 4 Basket Weave
- No. 31 Evening Star
Both blocks were made using foundation paper piecing, which gives excellent precision. Just keep an eye on fabric placement and color order, small details make a big difference in the final look.
Helpful Tips
- Basket Weave: Pay close attention to the color order when piecing.
- Evening Star: Use the same fabric for the center square and edges for a balanced design.
