Farmer’s Wife QAL week 3: Friendship Star and Wrench quilt blocks

We had lots of guests at home this weekend and such a lovely time together, but that also meant very little time for crafting. As Christmas approaches, I think a small rest from everything is needed... even from quilting!

But the Farmer's Wife Quilt Along cannot wait. I am following a strict schedule for this quilt-a-long, and I am determined to keep going.

For this week's Farmer's Wife QAL blocks, I made no. 41 Friendship Star and no. 111 Wrench, using foundation paper piecing and beautiful Lecien fabrics.

Farmer's Wife Quilt Block no. 41: Friendship Star

The Friendship Star quilt block is such a classic design, and it looks especially sweet in these soft Lecien fabrics. I used foundation paper piecing to keep the points neat and accurate.

Farmer's Wife Quilt Block no. 111: Wrench

The second block for this week is the Wrench quilt block. This is another lovely Farmer's Wife block that works beautifully with foundation paper piecing, especially when you want crisp shapes and precise seams.
